First picture of Ellen
Sun has been shining on this gorgeous fall day and temps has down to 2 degrees.
Ellen has now become 4 days old and she is sleeping peacefully in her bed at the hospital.
Thanks to Marilsa for the photo.
After work I met Linda and that was great as usual. We chatted for a long time and had dinner before we split as I had to be at Asylet at 6pm for the CS Monthly meeting of November. It was great as usual. We had lots and lots of new people this time and that was great. Its a great pleasure to see that we can have such a varied group of new and known people, of different cultures etc. It is completely fantastic to see the diversity of a group like ours and joyful to meet people that would never have become my friends if it was not for CS. November 28, 2007Selling honey at Astrup Fearnleys
This morning was a crappy morning with lots of stress. Simply because I brought with me about 20 kgs of honey that with the glasses weighs about 30 kgs, it was slippery to walk and the train was cancelled. Due to a electricity problem a fire had started in the tunnel btwn Oslo central station and the National Theater in some of the electricity cables. This caused absolutely all train traffic in this part of the country to stop and I had to take first a bus to Grorud, then the metro to the city, then change bus twice to get to work. I guess Ill double check tomorrow if the trains started again or if I should take a smarter route. As soon as I got to work I was completely exhausted and due to the heavy weight both strops on my rucksack with honey had been torn to pieces from the weight. Well, during the day things got way better and I stopped by my old job to sell all this honey (pre-orders). It was so nice to catch up with people that lots of us ended up going out for beer. Great since I knew most of them during many years!!! It was fantastic to catch up with Simon as well and for a few moments there I had some flashbacks and really missed working with that group again. I actually do miss them a lot, but how can you manage to not miss nice people I have worked with for 5 years ?? And being that great. Evening turned out fantastic as soon as I was rid of all the honey !!! November 30, 2007Great news! - My contract is renewed for another year
Got in late for work today as well. Well, not late. Im supposed to be there btwn 7 and 9 so I was in time before 9 but late considering then I cant leave until 5. Had a quite busy morning with phone meetings at work and got loads done. Was great. I forgot to have my lunch break since Louise came over and we talked for a while. I also got the great news that my contract for work at Aker Kvaerner is being renewed for 1 year!!!! Louise was leaving early and offered me a ride in to Oslo city centre. Most of my collegues went for a meeting anyways so I reaconed I could just do the last 3 hours from home today to celebrate my contact was renewed. Louise dropped me off at majorstua and I walked slowly down Bogstadveien to do some window shopping and found one more christmas gift. John called and we ended up meeting at the pub 3 broedre (3 brothers) where we had some beers before we went to have dinner. We left at 9:40, pretty tipsy and split at the central station. I watched TV for an hour before going to bed. :D |
